Guides

The reasoning, not just the settings. Sizing, tuning, and the parts most tutorials leave out.

Who writes these

Written by the engineers who provision and tune the bare metal behind Quantum Host, build the in-house panel, and answer the support tickets. We write them because the questions turn up in support tickets often enough that a proper answer is more useful than replying individually.

These are the rules we hold them to:

  • No product claims. The service pages sell; these explain. Nothing here depends on Quantum Host being your host, and none of it goes stale when our pricing or hardware changes.
  • Show the arithmetic. Every number is either a published upstream default or a calculation you can redo yourself. Where the honest answer is “it depends”, we say what it depends on instead of printing a table.
  • No unmeasured self-reporting. We don't quote our own uptime, latency or scale figures, because we don't yet measure them to a standard worth publishing. When we do, they'll appear with the method attached.
  • Dated, and revised in place. Each guide shows when it was published and when it was last substantively revised — not a date bumped to look fresh.

Found something wrong, or out of date? Tell us — corrections reach the engineers who wrote the page.
